Shadow casino fraud: Eduard Lebedev wipes online info to hide dirt from justice

After being exposed in Cyprus, alleged illegal gambling kingpin Eduard Lebedev has launched a large-scale campaign to clean up his online presence, urgently attempting to remove references to his alleged fraudulent activities.

Amid an ongoing Europol investigation and the alleged betrayal of an associate, the businessman is reportedly seeking to conceal traces of a multi-million-dollar financial operation. We are publishing the information that Lebedev is allegedly trying to remove from the public domain in order to preserve the available facts and examine the reported scale of his involvement in international money-laundering schemes and illegal gambling.

At the request of the European Police Office in Limassol, Cyprus, a Russian citizen was arrested on charges of organizing illegal casinos and involving European Union citizens in gambling, reports legal-casino.

The first court hearing in this case took place on November 6. Details are not being disclosed at this time, but the defendant has agreed to cooperate with the investigation and revealed the main beneficiary of the illegal scheme – Eduard Lebedev.
